The Sandwich Fair is Columbus Weekend- October 12-14, 2019
At The Sandwich Fair, the finished results of 4-H member and volunteer leader efforts are on display, emphasizing practical life skills through a broad variety of projects and activities through the 4-H Positive Youth Development program. These projects are displayed in the 4-H building, and the livestock barns and show rings.
Many 4-H members work on projects related to agriculture and animal husbandry. 4-H members from across New Hampshire show their animals and practice their skills, not only as they pursue ribbons and fair premiums, but also as they work to educate other fairgoers about reponsible agricultural practices.
4-H Animal Fence Talks (in the swine ring)
4-H animal fence talks are essentially a 4-H action exhibit with a member’s project animal. 4-H members are invited to give a short talk and answer questions to the public with their project animal. This is a 4-H communication experience and 4-Hers will be judged on their ability to successfully interact with and educate the public using their animal as the subject.
4-H Ice Cream Social & Movie- All 4-H members and their families are invited!
This will be a fun time to socialize and meet other 4-H members, eat some ice cream and watch a movie. The Carroll County 4-H Advisory Committee will provide ice cream, bowls & spoons. Families please bring your favorite ice cream topping to share.
