Zoom: Hiking 101

4-H SnapTrek is a nature photography program for teens 12+ in Belknap, Carroll and Strafford Counties. This program is free and open to any youth 12+ who would like to participate. In this program teens will have an opportunity to learn photography skills virtually and in person, participate in hikes and learn about 4-H and their greater communities.

4-H SnapTrek is created to bridge the divide between the plugged-in world of screens and the natural world of the great outdoors. This program will provide teens a place to interact and connect with one another, their communities and develop a connection to their local trails, all while benefiting from fun physical activity.

Once participants are registered the zoom links and hiking meet up locations will be emailed. Each hike will be guided by a 4-H Extension Manager and the virtual zooms will be taught by a professional photographer.  A closed Instagram group will be used to share photos and for teens to participate in photo challenges. Prizes and incentives will be given for completing challenges.

If you are not comfortable meeting in person there will be a virtual option including hikes on your own.
