When grazing animals we always want to make sure we’re planning ahead to know how much feed we have to sustain our livestock for a given period of time. Determining this may look like a simple walk through the pasture to make an educated guess. This information can dictate stocking densities, pasture layout, and pasture size. Developing a trained eye can take a bit of experience and time to get the hang of, but there are some techniques and tools to help you get there a bit easier; and dare we say faster?

Join UNH Cooperative Extension and the Granite State Graziers in the field for an interactive workshop that will focus on gauging your pastures' ability to supply top-quality forage to support strong animal production.

RSVP Appreciated. Event is FREE and will be held rain or shine.
