Building Community in the Remote Learning Environment

Tue, 12/08/2020
6:30pm - 7:30pm

This series of workshops will introduce a variety of ways to create a safe space for learners, build relationships with adults and encourage positive relationships with peers.  Each workshop will focus on a predictable structure called Circle of Power and Respect.  In the workshops participants will practice with simple interactions, different ways to enhance participation in a remote learning environment, and how to play simple games with youth.  Through the Circle of Power and Respect, we are trying to establish predictability and a sense of safety, create a sense of belonging and significance for students, encourage and share experiences and connections to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.5 work
