Creative Computing Challenge Educator Training with STEM Docents
Teach the skills of tomorrow with Creative Computing Challenge! This workshop walks you through MIT App Inventor curriulum module created by UNH Cooperative Extension. Join the STEM Docent team in this workshop and receive in-depth, ongoing training on inquiry-based, hands-on engineering curriculum. Interested volunteers and education professionals welcome. Train as a STEM Docent volunteer to and engage NH youth in multi-day lessons in classrooms or out-of-school-time programs (grades 8 - 12). Application needed for all STEM Docent volunteers.
All training participants are requested to teach one lesson learned during the training at the STEM Discovery Lab's Creative Computing Challenge Girls Summer Camp (July 30 - August 3, 9:00 - 3:00). The purpose of participant involvement in the camp is to gain pracitice teaching with support from UNH Cooperative Extension staff. Note that training participants do not need to attend the entirety of the camp.
