Food Systems Soils Workshop for Educators

Soil is the most important component of growing food.  Humans rely directly on the health of the soil in which they are growing food.  

Food Systems thinking involves a holistic approach to examining how our food is grown, harvested, packed, shipped and eaten.  Educating our youth about Food Systems is relevant, rigorous, engaging and involves the inquiry process.  

In this workshop, we will explore the science behind soil and ways to engage youth in this topic.
