STEM Docent Training: Mousetrap Cars

August 8 - 10. UNH Cooperative Extension STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Docents are individuals dedicated to strengthening youths’ appreciation and understanding of STEM. Learn about the specifics of becoming a STEM Docent volunteer for our Mousetrap Car Engineering curriculum.


  • Receive in-depth, ongoing training on inquiry-based, NGSS-aligned curriculum and how to deliver STEM activities to engage youth.
  • Volunteer to teach multi-day, two hour lessons in classrooms or out-of-school-time programs.  Receive training for no fee.
  • Already work in the classroom? Become trained to integrate this engaging STEM curriculum in your classroom and join a statewide network of STEM Docents. PD hours documentation available.  Fee:  $250
