Thu, 01/21/2021
12:30pm - 2:00pm

In the past few years, interdisciplinary researchers and scholars have worked together to synthesize research related to understanding how youth develop in context, resulting in a new developmental systems framework based on the sciences of learning and development. Webinar participants will learn about the sciences of learning and development, including epigenetics, brain science, malleability, and plasticity. A special emphasis is placed on stress and trauma and its potential impact on youth learning and development. The webinar finishes by connecting the SoLD principles to the 4-H Thriving Model, so participants understand how these principles can be an intentional part of high-quality 4-H youth programs.
