More Than Sad: Understanding Teen Depression

An American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) program for high school youth, parents, caregivers and other concerned community adults.*
Participants will learn to recognize signs of teen depression and challenge the stigma surrounding this important issue. Reaching out and connecting with youth and finding needed help will be discussed. Youth and adults will view a More Than Sad (MTS) video on Teen Depression, then meet separately for information geared to the needs of each group. Youth under 18 may attend with or without a parent/guardian but will need their permission to participate. MTS will be led by staff from AFSP, Austin17House and UNH Cooperative Extension.
