[POSTPONED] - 2020 Seacoast Seaperch Challenge
Due to the public health concern caused by the COVID-19 virus, UNH administration made the decision to cancel all UNH Cooperative Extension events, programs, and noncredit classes through April 5th. The health and safety of our staff and the many members of our NH communities that participate in our programs is most important. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this uncertain time. When possible we will work to reschedule programs and in the event that we are unable, we will work to refund any registration expenses.
We will post a new date soon.
About the Event
The Seacoast SeaPerch Regional Competition is an annual event held at the University of New Hampshire on the Durham campus, and includes different challenges for the SeaPerch teams to complete. The competition includes an obstacle course to test the ROVs' speed and maneuverability, a waterway clean-up mission and a poster presentation.
Team registration is open
Registration is a two-step process. the link below will reserve your team a space in the competition. Each school, group or organization can register up to 2 teams to compete. Teams may consist of 2-6 students, and up to 2 coaches. We are limited to 50 teams, so register as soon as you can! Additional teams can go onto a waiting list by contacting Tara Hicks-Johnson directly.
Closer to the event, you will be sent a secondary registration link and will need to provide the exact number of students competing on your team, along with their information. You do not need to know this information for the initial team registration. Payment will be needed during the participant registration step.
Poster Rubric - Please note at our regional competition we hold a poster competition, you will not have to provide an Engineering Notebook for grading. However, if you place in our regional competition and go to the National Competition, they require a new Technical Report which includes an Engineering Notebook, so just be aware of that and keep excellent notes!
