[POSTPONED] Foundations with STEM Docents

Mon, 05/04/2020
9:00am - 4:00pm
UNH Manchester
88 Commercial Street
Manchester NH, NH 03101

Due to the public health concern caused by the COVID-19 virus, UNH administration made the decision to cancel all UNH Cooperative Extension events, programs and noncredit classes through May. The health and safety of our staff and the many members of our New Hampshire communities that participate in our programs is most important. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this uncertain time.

The new date will be posted here as soon as possible and announced in our newsletter (sign up).

Exploring the natural and designed worlds with a child can be among the most rewarding experiences we can do.  As working adults we have life experiences and careers that put us in a position to help teach and mentor youth in STEM.  But, how does one get started?  The STEM Docent Foundations Workshop is designed to help participants build their skill set in creating a positive learning environment that promotes youth’s active engagement in STEM activities.  It teaches some fundamental skills and tricks to help you share your passion for science to youth.  This workshop is suitable for all informal educators and volunteers who work with youth in STEM fields.

(This workshop is required for STEM Docent volunteers. Contact for coupon code to cover the fee)
