Projector Instructions
For Windows-based PCs
Step 1: Locating the HDMI Connector on the laptop
On the back or side of the laptop, there is an HDMI output Connector/Port. This is the port which allows you to connect an external monitor/projector to the
computer.
Step 2: Locating the HDMI Connector on the LCD Projector
On the back of the projector, locate the HDMI input Connector/Port.
Step 3: Connecting the Projector
Most LCD projectors work the same way when it comes to connecting the laptop or a PC. Connect the HDMI cable from the laptop to the projector. Ensure that the projector is on prior to the laptop. Turn on the laptop. Most projectors and laptops will sync automatically at this point. However if it does not, refer to step 4.
Step 4: Testing the Connection
If you do not have an image after your laptop has booted you will most likely need to toggle the image on by pressing a combination of keys that activate the HDMI port. All PC laptops require you to hold down the Fn (function) key and then press the appropriate monitor key. Some monitor keys have a picture of 2 squares that are shown in the illustration below and others have the letters CRT/LCD.
NOTE: All PC’s have a similar Key, however different brands have different buttons.
Refer to the list below for exact keys:
