Jessica (Jess) Bouchard joined Extension’s Food & Agriculture team on Sept. 5 as the Pesticide Safety Education Program administrative assistant in Goffstown. Her primary duties include assisting the PSEP coordinator with creating, updating and managing materials and information and co-managing trainings offered to pesticide applicators, including logistics, outreach and promotion in the support of the program.
Jess has a background in botany and biological sciences. She has worked on research projects involving endangered and invasive plant species, and has also worked in the floriculture industry as a grower. She received her master’s degree in plant science and biotechnology from SUNY College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry in 2013 and moved to New Hampshire in 2016. She is a strong advocate and protector of the natural environment and, through her activities, is passionate about educating others to do the same.
“I am excited that Jessica has joined my team,” says Rachel Maccini, PSEP coordinator. “Not only does she bring a great skill set to Extension, but she is a very nice person who cares about pesticide safety and educating others about its importance.”
Jessica’s office is the Education Center at the Hillsborough County Complex in Goffstown. She can be reached at Jessica.email@example.com or at 603-351-3831.
