Mark Wiley is the Assistant Director for Education for NH Sea Grant and the UNH Cooperative Extension Program. His Sea Grant role is as Director of the UNH Marine Docent Program that trains volunteers in marine science and sends them out to provide marine education programs in schools in New Hampshire. In addition to the Docent program, Mark works with teachers in professional development workshops, and is a member of the National Marine Educators Association Ocean Literacy committee helping implement Ocean Literacy principles nationwide. He has a B.S. in Biology from Dartmouth College and an M.S. in Natural Resource Management from UNH. As a faculty member within the UNH Department of Education Mark has provided professional development to practicing educators in inquiry-based approaches to science teaching and assessment.
