As Community and Economic Development Field Specialist in Hillsborough County (Goffstown office), Sharon works with NH communities to build capacity that fosters local decision-making, citizen engagement, economic development and leadership. Sharon provides educational programs and technical assistance to NH communities and coalitions in support of community and economic development projects. Projects focus on increasing local capacity to address a variety of community challenges and issues. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, she has been instrumental in developing and implementing the Economic Development Academy, providing skills to practitioners and volunteers. She also provides educational workshops in group facilitation, adult learning, and building collaborations. With a career spanning over 25 years, Sharon has extensive experience in working with communities, developing adult training and education programs, human services, and quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Previously for UNHCE, Sharon taught financial literacy programs for NH adults and families. Before joining Cooperative Extension, Sharon held a variety of positions in human services and consumer and market research, most recently in the financial services industry. Sharon has a Masters of Science in Consumer Economics from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Learning and Development from Plymouth State University.
