I have been an Agricultural Educator in Coös County since 1988. Prior to that I worked for the USDA in agricultural/rural finance in both Vermont and NH. In general my goal has always been to help farmers throughout NH improve their overall profitability and competitiveness. Now, my particular emphasis as a Field Specialist, is in all facets of Forage Crop management in northern New Hampshire. However, I am able to travel all throughout the state when necessary. Various programs including The NH Dairy Conferences and Winter Forage Crop workshops are examples of a few I am involved. Personal contact remains an essential part of my work-ethic which includes a connection to the agricultural community thru membership in Farm Bureau, the local Conservation District.
* Most recently, I have been involved with efforts to help Veterans interested in a career in Agriculture make connections with the larger farm community. I am a Veteran myself and understand some of these challenges. I welcome calls from any fellow Vets regarding this subject.
