Headshot of Katrina Klobucher, Extension Livestock Production Field Specialist

Katrina Klobucher has joined UNH Extension’s Food & Agriculture Team, and Belknap County as the new Livestock Production Field Specialist, effective April 15, 2024.

Katrina is a UNH alum, receiving her master’s degree in Agricultural Science where she focused on the improvement of dairy heifer nutrition and health. After graduation she worked with the dairy cooperative, Agri-Mark, assisting farmers throughout New England.

Prior to her master’s program at UNH, she attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where she worked with a variety of livestock species and received a Bachelor of Science with a focus in animal management. Katrina has spent time working at the Miner Institute in New York as well as other farms throughout New England. Her passion for agriculture started when she was young and joined 4-H. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working with different livestock species and practices along with her.

Of her new position with Extension, Katrina states “I am very excited to join the extension team and connect with livestock producers throughout the state. I cannot wait to share what a fantastic organization UNH Extension is.”

While Katrina will be based out of the Belknap County Office in Laconia, a position vacated by Kelly McAdam, Program Team Leader in October of 2023, Katrina will work with producers and partners statewide in various aspects of livestock production. Kelly notes that “Katrina brings both academic and practical experiences to this position and will be a great resource for those raising livestock in Belknap County and throughout New Hampshire.”

Welcome, Katrina!
