The National Municipal Stormwater Alliance is a group of state and regional groups made up of MS4 permittees and focused specifically on MS4 issues. Their vision is to help communities tackle stormwater challenges to provide clean water for the nation. The NMSA has partnered with the UNH Stormwater Center and the University of Minnesota Stormwater Research Program to create the Cold Climate Center of Excellence for Stormwater Infrastructure Technology. The CCCESIT address stormwater concerns that threaten waterways in cold climate conditions. The CCCESIT program has three main initiatives: conducting research; providing technical assistance to state, Tribal, and local governments; and collaborating with the other National centers.
