4-H Wildside State Park Summer Challenge

-
Online Only

The 4-H Wildside State Park Summer Challenge starts June 24, 2023 and runs until September 4, 2023.

The Challenge

Take a trip on the Wildside this summer! For the first time ever we are announcing the 4-H Wildside State Park Summer Challenge! This Challenge is designed for the 4-H family this summer as you goal will be to visit as many state parks as possible and engage in Healthy Outdoor Living activities such as hiking, swimming, boating, biking, fishing, and camping.  This Challenge is also designed to take advantage of many state parks educational enrichment and historical programs.  Your job is to take photographs and document these activities that you do in your journal that you will receive when you register through 4-H online.  There is no limit in the amount of State Parks you can visit but the minimum number is six in order to receive your patch or certificate.

How It Works

When youth register, they will be mailed a logbook which they will use to document at least six different state parks they have visited. When youth have completed their logbook, they return it to the Extension office.  Individuals who return their completed logbook prior to the September 4th  deadline will receive a limited-edition State Park Summer Challenge certificate or patch.

Register for the 4-H Wildside 2022-23 State Park Summer Challenge via 4-H Online to get started.
