4-H "Get Ready to Show" Clinic

Description of Day:  This clinic will be a fun day of learning for Cloverbuds and 4-H members who ride, show in hand and who may be  interested in learning more about what it means to be a stable manager.

• Fitting and Show Class:  Youth will get instruction and practice with fit and show and get immediate feedback from the judge.  Youth will be allowed to ask questions of the judge.
• Equitation and Western:  Youth will ride together or show in hand in their classes and receive feedback from the judge.  Youth will be allowed to ask questions of the judge.
• Horse Records:  Youth will bring their 4-H Horse Record Books to the clinic and will participate in a records workshop to get feedback and learn how to improve their record books.
• Posters:  Youth may bring a horse themed educational poster and will participate in a learning workshop to get immediate feedback.  These posters can go onto the state show and to your county fair.
• Stable Managers:  Youth who are interested in becoming a stable manager will learn what is required to be a Teen Leader at the NH 4-H State Horse Show.

Registration:

• Register through 4HOnline by June 15, 2024.
• Class lists will be mailed to all 4-H youth who register for this event through 4-HOnline by June 15, 2024.  Youth do NOT need a class list to register. 
• The judge and the clinic superintendent will determine eligibility for the NH 4-H State Horse Show.
• Open to youth ages 5-18.

Cost:  $25.00 registration fee (if this serves as a hardship, please contact your county 4-H Program Manager). Please make checks payable to the "Belknap 4-H Equestrians".  Payment will be collected on the day of the clinic.

Attire: Helmets and boots are required.  Show clothes are not necessary.
