4-H Star Party for Merrimack County

Calling all sky watchers and star gazers! Do you have an interest in learning about the mysteries of the night?

While gazing at the night sky, you will be guided in:

• Constellation identification 
• Naked eye observing
• How to identify planets
• How to tell the difference between a star and a planet
• Binocular observing 
• Basic telescope skills 

No previous astronomy or telescope experience or knowledge is necessary.

Please dress warm and bring a flashlight to walk to the viewing spot.

Registration:

• Register for this event through ZSuite by March 17, 2025.
• Event is open to 4-H youth ages 5-18. Parents/Guardians encouraged to stay and participate. 
• 4-H Volunteers who are interested in learning to lead a star party with their club are welcome to attend.
• This event is free to attend.
