The New Hampshire 4-H Agri-Science Quiz Bowl, also known as the Animal Science Quiz Bowl, is an event where youth gather to demonstrate their knowledge of animal sciences and agriculture. Teams of 3-4 race to hit their buzzers and answer questions related to their chosen project area(s). This is a time to showcase members’ knowledge, build team and communication skills, meet other project members, and have fun.

Registration Information:
- This event is open to youth ages 8-18.
- Each 4-H member participating in Quiz Bowl will register individually, and can list their teammates. Individuals without a team are encouraged to register, and will be placed on a team at the contest.
- A non-refundable entry fee of $10.00 per individual member will be due at the time of registration (clubs wishing to pay for their members should reach out to Hannah.majewski@unh.edu).
- Registration deadline is March 1, 2026. We will not accept late entries for this event.
- All youth participants must make sure they are enrolled for the current 4-H year through ZSuite. If you have not enrolled for the 2025-26 4-H Year please use these instructions here to get started.
AGE DIVISIONS:
- Junior: Contestants must be 8-10 years old as of January 1 of the current year.
- Intermediate: Contestants must be 11, 12 or 13 years old as of January 1 of the current year.
- Senior: Contestants must be 14 -18 years old as of January 1 of the current year.
Volunteers:
This is one of the largest animal science events that NH 4-H hosts, and it takes many volunteers to make the event a success! If you are interested in helping at the Agriscience Quiz Bowl, please fill out this form.
Awards:
The top-scoring teams and individuals are recognized after the contest. Senior participants (members 14 years and older) in the Dairy, Livestock, and Horse Quiz Bowl contests are eligible to qualify for state teams that attend regional and national level contests.
