Use your creativity and love of food to plan and prepare food dishes and cook up something delicious in the fun of friendly competition!
All levels of cooking, baking, and creating are encouraged to participate in this annual Healthy Living event. Festival participants will demonstrate the ability to prepare food, share their knowledge of basic nutrition, and display food items attractively. All are welcome to attend this fun family event. The theme of the 2023’s FFF is “Sustainable Eats.”
What you can enter this year:
Create your favorite food and then those attending the event will sample each dish and vote for a People’s Choice Award!
It’s all about presentation! Garnishes are used to enhance our favorite food dishes in many ways – adding new flavors, colors, and extra health benefits. For this challenge, your garnish must be something YOU grow, such as microgreens, sprouts, or edible flowers. Start growing now and incorporate your garnish or garnishes into your food projects. (Strafford County 4-H members, if you would like to receive seeds to grow your garnish, please sign up for the Winter Plant-a-Row program.)
Create an outstanding place setting with or without your Favorite Food entry. As this event will be outdoors, you will have two different options of where you can set up your place setting display: a picnic table or grass/picnic blanket.
Create your favorite food and then share with us how you created your delicious dish.
