ABOUT:

The NH 4-H Sheep and Goat Weekend is open, set up, and organized for all ages and levels of learning for youth who are interested in learning more about the 4-H sheep and goat project areas. The workshops will offer hands-on experiences for senior experienced 4-Hers all the way down to first-timers. Cloverbuds are welcome but must have an adult present during the entire time. Participants are welcome to come for one day of the clinic or the whole weekend. Youth are invited to bring their own animals to practice with, but additional animals will be available on site for useOvernight family camping available.

DATE & TIME:

  • Saturday, June 28, 2025: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Sunday, June 29, 2025: 8:00am - 12:00pm

REGISTRATION & COST:

Register through ZSuite by June 12, 2025.

Registration fee is $75.00 per youth participant. This fee includes Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast, snacks and a t-shirt. This fee also covers meals for one adult per family accompanying a participant. 

NEW THIS YEAR- Cloverbud Workshop, Sunday June 29th from 9:00-12:00pm: Cloverbuds will get to participate in fun sheep and goat activities and do a Cloverbud class during the mock show.  Cloverbud registration is $20.00, and they must have an adult present during the entire time.

Additional family members are welcome to spend the day(s) at the clinic. They can choose to eat with the participants for $15.00 per additional family member (this covers Saturday lunch & dinner and Sunday breakfast). 

Please print and bring this payment form and check made out to "UNH Cooperative Extension" to the event. We will collect payment upon arrival for registration fees, camping fees, additional family members and extra t-shirts. 

CAMPING:

Camping spaces are offered for Friday and Saturday night for $15 per night. If camping Friday night arrival on the grounds is between 6:00pm-9:00pm. If camping on Saturday you must arrive no later than 7:45am.

You can designate on the 4HOnline registration that you plan to camp. Please use the camping form to finalize your camping reservation. You do not need to submit your camping form ahead of time. Bring the camping form to the event with payment form and check. 

ANIMALS AT THE EVENT:

If you are bringing an animal you are responsible for the care, feeding and bedding for them while you participate in the clinic workshops. Please bring a health certificate with proof of rabies within 30 days of the clinic and scrapie’s tag for sheep. Animals will be checked by clinic staff upon arrival.

Youth who do not plan to bring an animal will be able to borrow one at the event to use during workshops. Cloverbuds do not need to bring an animal. Their workshops will be hands-on and developmentally appropriate.
