Who we are:
New Hampshire has hundreds of teens that participate in 4-H every year. The Youth Leadership Team is a group of teens aged 12-18 that work closely together with their YLT advisor and county 4-H Program Manager to bring youth voice to county programs.
What we do:
Each county, as a Youth Leadership Team, develops their own group norms like when they meet and what their goals are for the year. Then throughout the year the YLT will participate in different events to strengthen their leadership skills and mentor other 4-Hers.
How we do it:
Teen leadership is a stage in a 4-Her’s life when they can share what they have learned as a 4-Her from observing and doing and transition to becoming a peer mentor and community builder. The Youth Leadership Team is a group of teens that are developing and advancing their leadership skills while creating life-long friendships.
Why we do it:
4-H teens have a world of possibility in front of them. Doors open for overnight leadership retreats, Teen Conference with 4-Hers from around the state, and national trips with teens from around the country. 4-H YLT will be a teen’s best opportunity to become who they are, making new friends, and testing their ideas in a fun, safe and challenging environment.
