Emmalee Garvin earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Agricultural Science Education from the University of New Hampshire. Following graduation, she spent 11 years working as an agriculture educator and FFA advisor. During her teaching tenure she served as the President of the New Hampshire Association of Agricultural Educators and as the Committee Chair for the New England Agriculture Teachers Summer Conference. Garvin has a passion for agricultural sciences from her upbringing in Somersworth in Strafford County and caring for animals on her grandparents' farm in Sullivan County. In 2020 she received the Granite State FFA Connor Memorial Outstanding Advisor Award, in 2022 she was awarded the Granite State FFA Honorary State Degree, and in 2023 she was selected for the Disney Imagination Campus 100 Teachers Celebration. Disney competitively recognizes 100 teachers annually because of their extraordinary creativity and imagination in student engagement in the classroom and community.
