The NH 4-H Beef and Dairy Field Day is a time for 4-H members of all ages to prepare for the show season ahead! Youth will get the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops with local experts. Topics include:
- Fitting and clipping
- Showmanship
- Judging
- Veterinary science, and more!
*4-H members are invited to bring their project animals with them to practice, but having an animal at the event is not required.
Youth 12 and older that would like to attend The Big E with the NH 4-H Beef or Dairy State Team are highly encouraged to attend this event to learn the qualification criteria and prepare with fellow 4-H members and volunteers.
NEW THIS YEAR!
The 4-H Beef and Dairy Field Day will be a TWO day event with the option for 4-H members to camp at the fairgrounds! Staying overnight will help new members gain a true “fair experience”, and will learn what it’s like to prepare an animal for show away from home. Participants may also just attend for one day on Saturday, May 31st.
*Animals that attend this event must follow all NH 4-H Animal Guidelines (including a rabies vaccine 30 days prior to the event). All the guidelines can be found at: https://extension.unh.edu/new-hampshire-4-h/pathways/new-hampshire-4-h-animal-science. Lactating animals will not be allowed at this event.
Animals and campers may arrive Friday, May 30th between 4:00 and 7:30 pm, or between 7:30 and 9:00 am on Saturday, May 31st.

COST: $45 per youth for two days, or $25 for Saturday only. * Food will be provided for the event!

This is an official tagging site for the 4-H Livestock Auction. The livestock auction committee will reach out with specific details if a 4-H member registered for this tagging date.
