We are excited to announce the first-ever Stratham 4-H Summerfest! Strafford and Rockingham County 4-H youth have the opportunity to exhibit their work and show animals during this one-day public event on July 16. Outside of the event itself, there will be opportunities for 4-H'ers to get together for special 4-H-only events on Saturday night and Sunday.
In addition to the animal shows and 4-H building exhibits, we will also have forestry and tractor driving contests, a Youth Talent Fair hosted by our 4-H Youth Leadership Team, County 4-H Presents presentations, and on Sunday the 17th, our hugely popular Trebuchet Challenge!

The 4-H Stratham Summerfest will be open to the public from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 16. At the Summerfest, the finished results of 4-H member and volunteer leader efforts are on display, emphasizing practical life skills gained through a broad variety of 4-H projects and activities. These projects are displayed in the 4-H Building, livestock barns, and show rings.

Animal Shows
Many 4-H members work on projects related to agriculture and animal husbandry. 4-H members from across New Hampshire show their animals and practice their skills, not only as they pursue ribbons and fair premiums, but also as they work to educate other fair visitors about responsible agricultural practices.
4-H Animal Exhibitors are invited to move their animals in on Friday, July 15 and stay through Sunday, July 17.
The 2022 Stratham 4-H Summerfest Animal Premium Book provides a list of guidelines and classes for each animal exhibit.
All entries for animals and classes must be completed through FairEntry. Deadline: Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

Exhibits in the 4-H Building at Stratham Summerfest include individual and club/program displays on cooking, rocketry, shooting sports, gardening, sewing and textiles, GPS navigation, communications skills, wind power, hiking and environmental stewardship, service learning, and much more!

Volunteer Opportunities
Can you help with 4-H Building Clean-up on any of the following dates?
- Wednesday, June 22, 5 PM -7 PM
- Wednesday, June 29, 5 PM -7 PM
- Saturday, July 9, 10 AM - 2 PM
Please RSVP to Caitlin.Wollack@unh.edu with the clean up day(s) you plan to attend.
Can you help staff the 4-H Exhibit Hall during the Fair? It is ideal for both Club Leaders and youth who want to showcase their Club and recruit new members and for parents of youth who are showing animals. Typical duties include looking cool behind the 4-H information and merchandise table, laughing with friends (who you asked to volunteer with you), sharing warm greetings with fairgoers, and getting free 4-H clothing for being so generous with your time and knowledge about 4-H. Expect to help direct people to other locations on the fairgrounds, hand out 4-H program information to interested new families, and take care of merchandise transactions.
Please email Caitlin.Wollack@unh.edu if you are interested in volunteering in the 4-H Exhibit Hall.
We need help judging 4-H project entries on Saturday, July 16, 8 AM - 9 AM
Please email Caitlin.Wollack@unh.edu if you are interested in judging 4-H project entries.
