NH 4-H is piloting a brand-new program in collaboration with the Department of Education called “Learn Everywhere”. The goal of the Learn Everywhere program is to recognize youth who may participate in non-traditional classroom learning, and help them earn additional high school credit for it.

4-H high school teens have the opportunity to work with 4-H mentors and 4-H staff to earn credit for their 4-H project work with production livestock. Examples of 4-H project work that could earn 4-H members credit could include raising production animals, attending national conferences, keeping animal records, and more. The learning will be evaluated by mentors using the National Council for Agriculture Education competencies and standards.  Students that successfully complete the full 4-H Livestock Science Course shall be awarded a certificate for high school credit as “Open Elective” as listed as an “Open Elective” as listed on ED 306.279(v).

4-H Livestock Science Open House:  March 20, 2025, on Zoom, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Register here in ZSuite.

  • This informational session is for mentors, parents, and high school-aged students interested in learning how 4-H teens can earn high school credit for their 4-H experiences with production livestock.  Participants will learn about the competencies need to achieve credit, review examples of how 4-H project work can complete a competency, and review the full requirements to earn high school credit. 4-H staff will also expand upon youth opportunities at the county, state, and national levels for members to enhance their time in 4-H and potentially earn high school credit.

  • For 2025,  NH 4-H will be piloting this program with small cohorts, but everyone is invited to learn about the program and it’s growth potential for future years.
