Winter can be a great time to get outside, brave the cold, and catch some fish! Learn ice fishing skills from identifying safe ice, sawing the ice, and managing your equipment. 

Participants will gather and walk to the fishing location to spend the day on Chocorua Lake learning all about ice fishing from Andy Schafermeyer, State 4-H Outdoor Education Field Specialist. Participants will be provided with all of the tackle, gear, and bait for a great day out on the ice. All registered participants will also be exempt from holding a fishing license while taking part in this educational program. Expert volunteers will be present, and many different types of fishing will be explored.

Hot cocoa will be available.

Age Restrictions:  Ages 5 and over, individuals 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must be registered (including adults name & email address submitted during registration).
