Every year, 4-H’ers from around the state showcase their projects at the Sandwich Fair, an annual event full of fun and community. Details about 4-H shows are outlined below. Remember to register by September 15 for animal exhibits!
4-H Livestock Show Registration:
Youth planning to show beef, dairy, dogs, goats, horses, sheep, swine, working steer, or participate in a fence talk can register online through Fair Entry here. Check out these guidelines for more info. The entry Deadline is September 15. Check out this registration help guide or video for questions regarding the Fair Entry website.
Avian Influenza Statement for Dairy Exhibitors: Please note that we are recommending that dairy exhibitors do not bring lactating cows due to the threat of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). For more information read the Avian Influenza Statement or contact claes.thelemarck@unh.edu.
4-H Animal Fence Talks:
4-H members are invited to give Animal Fence Talks, where they bring their animals into the show ring, give a short talk about their project to small groups along the side of the ring, and answer questions from the public. Check out the Fence Talk guidelines and scoresheet for more information and register online through Fair Entry by September 15.
Club Exhibits:
Any Carroll County 4-H member, family, or club can create and enter a 4-H exhibit, educational exhibit, or 4-H Scarecrow to display in the exhibit hall. See the club exhibit guidelines for more details. If you’re interested in exhibiting, please contact Claes Thelemarck at claes.thelemarck@unh.edu.
