Get Your Space On: Space Gardening & Planetarium Show

About the Event: Learn about farming in space! The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is offering a customized program just for 4-Her’s which includes the planetarium show We Are Guardians and a Moon Station educational presentation featuring space gardening and regenerative agriculture that 4-Her’s can build on for future projects.

About the Planetarium Show: We Are Guardians looks at how our world, its people, and its ecosystems are intrinsically connected. In this immersive full-dome show, learn about how scientists are using satellites to monitor and examine the links between human activities and climate change and how we can work together to protect our shared world.

• Event is open to 4-H youth ages 5-18. Youth age 13 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.
• Space is limited and we request only one adult per 4-H family.

Cost: Entry fee is $8.00 per participant and includes admission to the Discovery Center starting at 1:00pm and entry to the planetarium show. Please use the link above to pay your entry fee after registering for the event through ZSuite. 

Event Schedule:

• 1:00pm: Entry to the Discovery Center is permitted with your ticket purchase
• 2:15pm: Educational Program with Discovery Center Staff for 4-H Families
• 3:00pm: Planetarium Show Starts—We Are Guardians
