Global Gourmet Cooking Series

Belknap & Merrimack County 4-H are teaming up to offer this brand new 4-H program! The Global Gourmet 4-H curriculum gives youth an opportunity to come together to cook recipes from across the world. This series will feature six sessions. Four of the sessions will be offered in a virtual format and the other two will be  hands-on cooking experiences. Interactive sessions will be held via Zoom with in-person opportunities to cook alongside other participants in Concord and Laconia. Participants will get hands-on cooking experience while learning about a variety of cultures.

• Class 1: January 11: via Zoom 
  • Country: Mexico
  • Food: Champurrado (Mexican Hot Chocolate)
• Class 2: January 14: In-Person (Location TBD)
  • Country: Italy
  • Food: Manicotti (Pasta Variety)
• Class 3: January 17: via Zoom 
  • Country: Rwanda
  • Food: Ibiharage (Rwandan Fried Beans)
• Class 4: January 23: In-Person (Concord Regional Technical Center in Concord, NH) 
  • Country: India
  • Food: Beef Curry (a dish with a sauce seasoned with spices)
• Class 5: January 25: via Zoom 
  • Country: Greece
  • Food: Tzatziki (dip, soup, or sauce)
• Class 6: February 1: via Zoom 
  • Country: Japan
  • Food: Goma Zu (pickled vegetables)  

Ingredients will be provided for participants. Pick-up times and locations will be communicated to those participating

Registration:

• Registration is open in 4-HOnline December 8th through December 22nd.
• Open to youth 10 and older.
• Belknap & Merrimack County participants only. Maximum of 12 participants.
• FREE to attend. All cooking supplies will be provided.
