Description: Are you sad to see the summer end with the last of your vegetable garden bounty? Fear not! Fall can also be a great time to keep your gardens in production by extending the growing season. Whether you have already planted for this fall or want to plan for the next, this workshop will cover what vegetables grow best in the fall, how to protect your crops from frosts and freezes, and how overwintering certain crops can take your growing season even further.

She earned her B.S. in Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Maine and an M.S. in Crop Science from North Carolina State University. She has worked with Extension at NC State, developed after-school garden curriculum, co-founded a community garden and has been with UNH since January 2023 helping home gardeners and sharing best practices for garden success.
