Event Overview

Give your child the gift of adventure, mindfulness, and connection to nature this winter! Join us for ATLAS Winter Wellness Day Camp, where young adventurers can immerse themselves in winter-based activities designed to spark their curiosity and strengthen their relationship with nature. Participants will explore mindfulness techniques through hands-on experiences in campfire cooking, wildlife tracking, and cross-country skiing. Each activity is crafted to help campers grow in self-awareness, teamwork, and appreciation for the land.

Activities Include:

Campfire Cooking:
Campers will learn the art of preparing simple, delicious meals over a campfire. This activity focuses on teamwork and mindfulness as they work together to create a shared meal in nature.

Wildlife Tracking:
In this hands-on session, campers will develop tracking skills to identify local wildlife, learning how to notice subtle signs and connect with the ecosystem. This activity encourages close observation, patience, and respect for animal life.

Cross-Country Skiing:
Campers will receive guidance in the basics of cross-country skiing, enjoying the rhythm of gliding through snowy trails. This active adventure is designed to promote both physical wellness and a mindful connection to the outdoors.


Camp Details

  • Location: The Southeast Land Trust, Burley Farms, 247 North River Rd, Epping, NH 03042
  • Group Size: Limited to 20 participants to ensure personalized instruction and group bonding.
  • What to Bring: a water bottle, packed lunch, and an extra pair of clothes. Campers should dress warmly for all-day outdoor activities.

Open to youth ages 8 - 12

Registration cost is $40 per participant (scholarships available. Contact Kristin.eberl@unh.edu prior to registering).
