This 6-week course is the first in a series of certification courses developed and hosted by the NH Landscape Association, NHTI, and UNH Extension.
Sessions meet once per week for 6 weeks, Wednesdays, 8 am 12 pm, March 11–April 15, 2026, at the NHTI campus in Concord, NH.
The trainings focus on the importance of safety and compliance in the landscape industry. It will cover safety culture, policies and procedures, incident reporting and investigation, hazard identification and risk management, and the importance and use of required personal protective equipment. Additionally, there will be a focus on worksite safety and traffic control, plus manual handling, and ergonomics. Equipment use and safety will include equipment inspection, startup, and shutdown procedures for hand-held and walk behind/ride on equipment. Truck and trailer pre-trip and driving protocols will also be covered.
Instructors include industry professionals and Extension educators.
Registration for the 6-week course is $350.
