The deadline to register is July 20, but we recommend submitting entries early! Please plan accordingly. Here are a few notes to help get you started:

  • All group animal classes registrations need to be mailed/emailed to the fair by July 20th. Here is the links to the 4-H Animal Handbook and the fair animal registration forms.
  • New This Year: The 4-H Interactive Experience!

From 12:00–3:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, youth will have the opportunity to participate in our new interactive space located in the 4-H Exhibit Hall in the school

This hands-on area will allow members to:

    • Lead make-and-take activities
    • Talk with visitors about their animals and projects
    • Present demonstrations
    • Host fun games and interactive activities
    • Showcase the many opportunities available through 4-H
    • The goal is to create an engaging space where youth can meet and greet the public while sharing their 4-H experiences.

We’ll also have our popular photo booth cutouts displayed in the School yard, a cutout dairy cow that kids can milk and this year’s scavenger hunt will begin in the Exhibit Hall.

Our vision is to make the Exhibit Hall a true destination. As fairgoers enter through the main gate, they’ll be encouraged to pass through the Schoolhouse and Exhibit Hall to explore the outstanding exhibits created by our members before heading into the fairgrounds.

Visitors can also enjoy free giveaways, and other family-friendly activities designed to engage children and families while promoting all that 4-H has to offer.

This is a great place for kids that have some free time during the fair to spread their wings and use their voice and have FUN at the same time.
All youth who participate in this space with their fence talk, demonstration or action exhibit will earn a premium. If you or your kids are interested in helping with this exciting new area, please let me know. A sign-up sheet will be available soon.

  • Animal Fence Talks - 4-H members will share their knowledge and expertise about their 4-H animal project at various barn locations throughout the fair. Smaller animals may be transported to the school for this purpose as well. These judged presentations are interactive, as youth engage the public and present their knowledge centered on their animal project.
  • Action and Demonstrations Exhibits - This is an opportunity in which youth can present what they know to the public, in an interactive way. These presentations will happen throughout the weekend from 12pm-3pm at the 4-H Exhibit Hall in the schoolhouse.
  • 4-H Exhibit Hall - 4-H members display 4-H projects that they have worked on over the past year. These displays are similar to what is showcased in the open show: Gardening, sewing, photography, art, posters, baking, engineering, forestry, etc.
  • Youth must pre-register where premiums are offered. Be sure to sign up for the exhibit hall, action/demonstration exhibits and animal fence talks. A sign-up sheet will be available soon.
  • Reminder: Exhibit tags must be attached to every entry in the Exhibit Hall. The exhibit tag is a two-part card, and both parts must remain with the project. Please do not remove the bottom portion to keep for yourself.

Exhibit tags are available for pickup at the office. If you are unable to stop by, email lynn.brewer@unh.edu and tags can be mailed to you.

Don’t forget to check the Exhibit Hall Book for details and the excellent premium opportunities!

  • Don't Forget- we'll be needing volunteers for both our Dairy Booth and Breakfast Booth! Your help makes these events possible and is always appreciated. The sign-up sheet will be available soon.
