Professional Development Opportunity for Educators

Join a network of fellow educators who are expanding food system literacy and nutrition education in New Hampshire! 4-H Farm to School Fellows (F2SF) use the Harvest of the Month curriculum to engage school students in grade K – 5 in food literacy and nutrition education that makes a lasting impact. Fellows also connect with peers through networking meetings, workshops, and presentation opportunities to broaden their own knowledge and support one another.

Please note that we can only accept 10 teachers to this program. We will notify accepted applicants by September 14. All accepted applicants will be required to attend a virtual training and orientation on September 22 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm.

Educator Benefits:

  • Receive a year of professional development workshops and mentoring that is (mostly) flexible with your schedule.
  • Collaborate and learn alongside a community of peers
  • Receive monthly teacher resources that include Harvest of the Month curriculum, activity resources, Ag in the Classroom extensions, curriculum connections, and more
  • Access to farm and community events
  • Potential for educator stipend (pending funding)

Educator Expectations:

  • Must teach in a school, grades K - 5
  • Complete pre-survey and post evaluations
  • Attend virtual networking gatherings September 22, 3:30 – 4:30 pm and January (date TBD)
  • Attend in-person networking event in August 2027 (date TBD)
  • Attend two workshops during 2026 – 2027 academic year (examples of workshops include: Apple a Day Clinic, Maple Baking, Sticky Sweet Maple Clinic, Who’s a Fungi Mushroom Clinic)
  • Implementation of at least 6 Harvest of the Month lessons over the course of the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Presentation of your Farm to School curriculum usage (examples include: 4-H Volunteer’s Conference, Farm, Forest, and Garden Expo, School to Farm Days, National Ag in the Classroom Conference, a school staff meeting, or a district wellness committee meeting)
  • Submit to 4-H youth evaluation and demographic data
    • Youth demographic data
    • Youth evaluation data
