Participants will design and create a whimsical home for a fairy or gnome out of found natural materials! In the first part of the activity, we’ll have a guided search for natural materials around the Remick museum building. Afterward, each participant will build their own little house on a cardboard base to take home.
Materials: Glue guns and bases will be provided. Feel free to collect natural items around your own home to bring and share!
Other requirements: Ages 7+ with a parent or guardian. Event will take place outside, so please wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. In case of heat or rain, we will move the event indoors.
Fair Exhibit Display: Our builders are encouraged to show off their fairy house or gnome home at the Sandwich and Fryeburg Fairs in the 4-H Exhibit Hall. More information on how to register for a fair display will be provided on-site and in a follow-up email.
