Building upon the success of its first-ever Outdoor Economy Academy this past spring, the Community and Economic Development team is launching a series of Community Visits and other programming to further explore key themes and impactful projects. The first of these events will be hosted in Franklin, NH on the afternoon of Thursday, October 15.
The Franklin Community Visit will highlight the place of outdoor recreation in Franklin’s redevelopment story and discuss how an initial vision can become a feasible project through continued momentum and support. Representatives of Mill City Park, the Winnipesauke River Trail, and the Franklin Outing Club will speak about their experiences launching local initiatives. The afternoon will include guest presentations, a guided walking tour, and a late afternoon social gathering to extend the conversation at Vulgar Brewing Company.
The event is a place‑based learning program designed for municipal leaders and staff, local businesses, planners, economic development professionals, and community volunteers who want to deepen their understanding of New Hampshire’s growing outdoor economy.
