Are You Grant Ready?

-
Online Only

Applying for grants can open the door to new opportunities for your farm or agricultural business- but only if you’re prepared. In this webinar, a professional grant writer from Farm Credit East will walk you through what it really takes to be grant ready.

Participants will learn what documents and information to have organized in a “go-to” grant folder, so you’re not scrambling when opportunities arise. We’ll also cover how to read a grant application carefully, highlighting key details to include.

Whether you’re new to grants or looking to strengthen your applications, this workshop will help you approach the grant process with confidence, clarity, and efficiency. Bring your questions – there will be time for Q&A.

Heather LaPierre is Farm Credit East’s grant writer and coordinator and has been with the cooperative since 2015. She has supported Farm Credit’s customers in a variety of roles, including content creation (written, video, social) to deliver value-added information to Northeast agribusinesses; change management to improve employee and customer experience; and, most recently, took on the role of grant writer and coordinator. Heather brings awareness and strategy to the grant process to help agribusinesses identify, apply, and follow through for their best chance at success. Heather grew up on Hunt Farm, a 250-head registered Holstein farm in Orange, MA, that’s still in operation today by her father, George Hunt, Jr. She graduated from Cornell University (’15) with a Bachelor of Science degree and lives in Greenwich, NY, with her husband, Andrew, and daughter, Celine.
