The New Hampshire 4-H Hippology Contest is a comprehensive, skill-based competition where youth demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of equine science and horse husbandry.
The Senior Division contest is used to select the senior members who may compete as the New Hampshire State 4-H Hippology Team in regional and national events.

Registration Information:
- This event is open to youth ages 8-18.
- Registration Closes March 8, 2026
- All youth participants must make sure they are enrolled for the current 4-H year through ZSuite. If you have not enrolled for the 2025-26 4-H Year please use these instructions here to get started.
- This event will need several volunteers to ensure the contests run smoothly. If you’re interested in helping, please complete this form.
Entry Fee:
Each contestant must pay a $10.00 entry fee. (If clubs or counties are wishing to cover the cost of registration, reach out to ashley.youngheim@unh.edu). If the cost of the program poses a financial challenge to your family, please contact Ashley.youngheim@unh.edu for scholarship opportunities.
