On the Ground Grazing: Real Plans from Real Farmers [webinar]

-
Online Only

The UNH Extension Beginning Farmer Program and Granite Graziers are excited to offer this online workshop on creating a grazing management plan. While this event is designed with beginning livestock farmers in mind, all are welcome to attend.

Daimon Meeh, NRCS Grazing Specialist, will discuss the importance of grazing management plans and how they can support a thriving farm. Participants will then hear from two farmers who will share their own grazing plans, walk through their planning process, and discuss how they put their plans into practice.

Julia Lownie, owner of Dancing Bear Farm in Claremont, NH, raises pigs, chickens, and goats using regenerative silvopasture practices. John O’Brien, owner of Winnicut River Farm in Stratham, NH, raises grass-fed beef and lamb, along with pastured poultry, eggs, and pork, using regenerative practices.

This event will be held on Microsoft Teams.
