Strawberry Production Essentials: From Drainage to Disease Prevention

Join us for an in-depth look at the key factors that support healthy, productive strawberry plantings. This session will cover practical strategies for improving field drainage, preventing soil- and root-related diseases, and selecting varieties that match your site conditions and production goals. Participants will learn how to identify the early warning signs of strawberry collapse and implement prevention practices before losses occur.

The program will also explore modern sprayer technology and application considerations to support effective pest and disease management while reducing risk and cost. In addition, we’ll discuss ways to successfully integrate strawberries into a diversified farm.

The event includes an overview of New Hampshire NRCS programs and cost-share opportunities that can support infrastructure improvements, conservation practices, and long-term resilience in strawberry production.
