Atlanta Georgia | November 24-28, 2023

The focus of National 4-H Congress is leadership development, citizenship, global awareness and inclusion. You will travel to Atlanta Georgia with your 4-H youth delegates, and two adult advisors that will support you during the experience. You'll expand your skills, engage with other 4-H members from across the country and be inspired to make an impact! This is a capstone experience for NH 4-Hers who apply through our Marketing YOU process.

Info You Need to Know
Community service is a special part of National 4-H Congress. On Monday morning the National 4-H Congress delegates will be assigned a variety of community service projects in the Atlanta metro area. Each 4-H member have the opportunity to help others in a variety of ways and experience really what it is like to be a catalyst for positive change.
To apply, you will submit by email:
- application checklist
- letter of recommendation
- cover letter (1-1 1/2 pages)
- resume (up to 2 pages)
- 2-3 minute video on what leadership skills you hope to develop at National Congress via google drive "sharable" link

Chosen participants will travel to Atlanta Georgia with 4-H advisors from New Hampshire. All trip logistics will be handled by the NH 4-H State office from airport to lodging and return. Participants will be responsible for transportation to and from the airport, as well as any meals outside of meals provided at the conference. All COVID-19 protocols dictated by 4-H National Congress, and NH 4-H will be abided by. Current protocols can be found here.
- Your time at National 4-H Congress is only Part 1 of this experience. Must have attended at least (1) Teen Conference or (1) NH Teen Leadership Retreat.
- Must be between the ages of 14-18 years old.
- Must plan on being a part of the NH Teen Leadership Program for the year you attend National 4-H Congress. (County Teen Leadership, NH 4-H Ambassador, STEM Ambassador, Ag-Ambassador or other similar leadership roles.)
- There is a $300 Family Contribution required for all National Award trip attendees but this is not intended to be a barrier for participation. Please contact 4-H State Teen Leadership Field Specialist Kristen.Landau@unh.edu should this fee present a challenge.
