Blueberry Pruning Clinic for Commercial Growers

In collaboration with the NH Vegetable and Berry Growers Association, this blueberry pruning clinic will be geared towards commercial blueberry growers. We will start at the UNH Extension office in Brentwood for a 1-hour presentation on blueberry care and maintenance. We will then head to the orchard at Saltbox Farm for a 2-hour pruning demonstration. Instructors will address how to:

  • Assess and manage new and old plantings
  • Prune for high yields
  • Canopy management

Led by UMass Extension Small Fruit Specialist John Galvan and Jeremy Delisle from UNH Extension Crop Production Team.
 


Schedule

10:30am: Registration & Welcome at UNH Extension office in Brentwood

11am-12pm: Presentation on Blueberry Care and Maintenance

12pm-1pm: Lunch (on your own) & Travel to Saltbox Farm (12 miles/15 min.)

1pm-3pm: Two-hour pruning demonstration at Saltbox Farm
