With the assistance of the Wilton Economic Development committee, over the past year, UNH Cooperative Extension has implemented the Business Retention program in Wilton, NH. The program helps communities learn about the needs and challenges of businesses through training leaders and volunteers to conduct interviews of local businesses.
Using the data obtained through the interviews with businesses, Wilton’s Economic Development committee recommended four projects to support economic development in Wilton: digital marketing, commercial property match-making, developing the Wilton brand, and developing a town business plan.
