Calling all GIS users in New Hampshire: help guide the creation of a NH GIS user group
SHARE
Welcome any and all GIS users in New Hampshire!
Are you a Geographic Information System (GIS) user working or living in New Hampshire who is interested in learning from and connecting with other GIS users in our state, all while keeping up with the latest GIS technologies? If so, you're in luck! A movement is underway to explore the creation of a NH GIS user group.
You may have questions, such as:
- What will this group do?
- How will it be coordinated?
- What will it provide to GIS users in NH?
- How does it integrate with GIS resources and activities already taking place in the state and the region?
- How do I get involved, provide input, and/or be kept up-to-date with what is happening with the group?
While the answers to many of these questions remain to be determined, the answer to the last one (three?) is straightforward:
Get involved by providing your feedback
Step 1: Complete this survey to contribute your thoughts about how a NH GIS user group might be helpful to you.
Step 2: Attend at least one of the upcoming discussion sessions (if you are available):
- May 29th (1-2pm) - remote, use this link to join via Zoom
- June 2nd (10am-noon) - in-person, NH Fish and Game Department, Concord, NH
- June 11th (11am-noon) remote, use this link to join via Zoom
There will be more sessions and opportunities to provide feedback in the coming months, so don’t worry if none of these dates and times work for you. Regardless if you can attend any of the sessions, filling out the survey will ensure that you are kept in the loop about future sessions and the group's progress.
If you have any questions about this survey or the effort in general, please feel free to get in touch with Shane Bradt, Extension Specialist in Geospatial Technologies, UNH Cooperative Extension at shane.bradt@unh.edu or 603-862-4277.
