Extension offers several summer meetings for farmers

  • People on wagon

UNH Extension’s Twilight Meetings provide space for farmers and people interested in learning more about farming to gather in person or virtually to learn about specific aspects of running a farm business and timely agricultural topics. Each meeting features a different subject and meetings are held at various locations throughout New Hampshire. No registration is required — just show up to the farm or log into the Zoom meeting! So, why should you attend?

Receive Expert Advice

There are many reasons to attend a Twilight Meeting. Perhaps you are just thinking about starting farming and want to learn about risk management and food safety? Or maybe you are an experienced farmer but need to hear about new technology that can help your production? Our friendly and knowledge staff and guest speakers are available to provide advice and expertise to you, no matter the stage in life you are at. The evening will consist of a presentation and attendees will be able to ask questions. Topics span the areas of tree fruit, vegetable crops, field crops, livestock, landscapes, greenhouses and non-commodity aspects of farming.

Socialize With Fellow Granite Staters

Twilight Meetings provide ample time to chat with others. Farming can sometimes be an isolating profession and gatherings like these offer opportunities to meet new people, network and even make plans for collaboration.

Tour a Farm

For in-person events, Twilight Meetings often include a farm tour. Be sure to wear comfy shoes and come prepared to explore. A great way to enhance your own farming can come by learning from fellow farmers.
