Thank you to the 121 volunteers who completed the 2025 NH Coverts Project Survey! The cumulative impact of Coverts Cooperators all over the state is – as always – impressive and inspiring. You've managed wildlife habitat on your land, talking with your neighbors, helped to conserve land in your communities, and so much more. The variety of ways you volunteer and the number of hours you put in is incredible.

The 2025 Annual Report for the NH Coverts Project is now available, and represents a compilation of all of your surveys and other data our office collects. Check out the full report here:

Here are some highlights of The Coverts Project in 2025:

  • Volunteers contributed 20,508 hours on behalf of forest stewardship and wildlife habitat conservation
  • Volunteers actively managed 8,990 acres of habitat
  • Volunteers reached 10,197 people with a stewardship message
  • Since 1999, volunteers with the Coverts Project have helped to permanently conserve over 349,000 acres of land in New Hampshire
